Takahashi FCT100 100mm f640 Fluorite Triplet APO Refractor.
This is a telescope from my private collection. It is a used telescope and is being moved on as I simply do not use it. It deserves a home where it is actually used. It is one of the rarest telescopes from my private collection. It should move on to a new owner.
This is the rarest Takahashi and the highest quality Takahashi telescope ever made.

I bought this a decade ago from one of Australia’s most enthusiastic astronomy boffins when he was forced to sell a large package of gear when he had a medical emergency and had to take his daughter to Russia for urgent medical treatment (unavailable in Australia). I understand he bought it from the USA. He told me it broke his heart to part with it. I bought it for my extensive private collection.
However – now – I have moved on. I recently bought a Carl Zeiss APQ which is what I use, this is the highest performance Carl Zeiss Jena telescope ever made, and today would cost many times this FCT100. So this FCT100 merely sits on an Eq6 in my lounge, unused. It deserves a home with someone that will adore it, and use it.
This scope is more than just hard to find, it is one of the rarest telescopes that you will ever find coming up for sale, anywhere – globally – ever.

It features am exotica level Triplet fluorite objective, premium 4″ focuser with CAA rotator, and runs a 2 inch to 1.25” adaptor so you can use 2 inch or even fit a 1.25 inch diagonal.
