This is a dedicated Sky Rover Reference Series 0.8X Focal Reducer/ Flattener specifically designed for use with a Sky Rover Reference Series telescopes.
This is designed for serious Astroimaging.
This unit is custom engineered & optically optimised for use on a Sky Rover Triplet ED Apochromatic Refractor series telescopes.
There are four different Reducer Flattener 0.8X models each with a dedicated optical design for the following Sky Rover models:

Note: We also have available a Sky Rover Reference Series ULT 130 ED Glass 130mm Triplet Super APO Refractor Telescope 1.0X Flattener ONLY which is also available, for those that want the extra focal length – and thereby the extra reach customers seek for detailed galaxy imaging. Please note this is a different selection & design to the Sky Rover Reducer Flatteners – who have a different Reducer Flattener selected for each of the Sky Rover series of telescopes – EVERY Sky Rover telescope has a DEDICATED design Reducer Flattener – as we are firm in our attitude that every Reducer Flattener has a dedicated design, and is unsuitable to be applied to more than one specifically designed telescope’s optic – they should (and in our case do) have a single dedicated custom bespoke designed Reducer Flattener for every Sky Rover model – the only way to do this properly.
This is a 70mm diameter 4 piece ED Glass full metal construction unit using premier quality Japanese ED Glass. It screws directly to the Sky Rover focuser at one end, and to a 48mm Canon or Nikon T Mount at the other, or via it’s 48mm male thread direct to your CCD Imaging train system.
Imaging Circle Diameter with Reducer Flattener fitted is 42mm and Backfocus distance from the end of the thread of the 48mm connection is 54.8mm.
This exceptional custom engineered premier quality accessory reduces the telescope’s focal length by a factor of 0.8X enabling a major increase in speed and also full field-edge correction and an a major increase in optical speed thereby shorter duration images proving the improvement in Signal to Noise performance that every astroimager seeks.
Use in conjunction with an Astronomy Alive 48mm thread Canon or Nikon T Mount to direct connect to your Canon or Nikon DSLR.
